Joanlee Ferrara: Teacher, friend and respected artist. In her memory, her family has donated the paintings below to Villa Duchesne, where she taught happily for so many years, and the alumnae association to which both she and her daughter belonged. We will award the paintings to the highest bids at 3:30pm on Saturday, 12 March, the date of Joanlee's memorial service.

Sunrise Tree Everglades


Matted watercolor, 16" x 20". As much as Mom loved traveling to Europe, part of her heart always stayed in Florida. Though she never got her retirement apartment overlooking the Atlantic, we were able to travel there regularly through the years. Cutting from one coast to the other meant a drive over Alligator Alley ... one very early ride inspired this picture.
