In Joanlee's Memory: My Rabbit Friend

Joanlee Ferrara: Teacher, friend and respected artist. In her memory, her family has donated the paintings below to Villa Duchesne, where she taught happily for so many years, and the alumnae association to which both she and her daughter belonged. Browse the pictures and descriptions below. To bid on a painting, put a comment below it on this site or send an email to elferrara@yahoo.co.uk. We will award the paintings to the highest bids at 3:30pm on Saturday, 12 March, the date of Joanlee's memorial service.

All proceeds will go to fund art education at Villa Duchesne.

My Rabbit Friend

Matted watercolor. 5" x 7". Mom collected figurines of rabbits from her youth; anyone who visited her house couldn't miss them. She painted very few, however. Here's a real one, no doubt about to eat the blooms in the garden.

The first three have no mats or frames; these are followed by work with mats only. Head further down for the framed pictures, which start with "Irish Wheat Field".

We assume that most of the buyers will be from St. Louis and will be able to pick up their paintings from Villa Duchesne. If you want your painting shipped to you, we can do so ... but we'll have to ask you for additional payment for the shipping.

ATTENTION BRITS: You can play, too! I have limited room in my suitcase to bring some of the matted, unframed works back with me. I also have three framed works ... two from her vases of flowers series in the '70s and one delicate detail of a pink rose ... that are for sale on our side of the pond.
